Delphine Callegher – The Story Behind My Sculptural Wood Panels

Every day, I look around me. My inspiration comes from what I see, what I have lived, what I have learned and what I have discovered along the way.

Little by little, in my studio, I gather the things that speak to me: a piece of wood, a stone, a crystal, a leaf, a color, a texture. Often, I don't yet know what they will become. I have ideas, of course — but by the end, a piece may have taken a completely different direction. And that is part of the joy.

How This Collection Was Born

This collection began with wood panels I found. I wanted to explore a new surface and a new way of creating wall art — something elegant, with character, that could live even in a small space. Each panel can stand on its own, or be paired with others to tell a larger story on your wall.

Color and Storytelling

Sometimes I love to blend many colors together. Sometimes I stay with a single color, or just two. But every time, I want to tell a story in my own way — using wood and natural materials to build a small world.

White Mineral Passage is a path of light, made with selenite, clear quartz, a Moroccan geode, melanite and layered white botanical textures.

La Vie en Rose brings together clear quartz, pink dolomite, sunstone and real seashells. I wanted to show an entrance into the sea in a different way — like a journey through coral. La vie en rose means seeing life through a beautiful, hopeful lens, and that is exactly what this piece is about.

Golden Hive Symphony is one of my favorites. Citrine, golden quartz, honeycomb forms and metallic details come together, surrounded by bees. When I start a piece, I never know exactly where I am going — but slowly, I find something that feels both contemporary and artistic.

Another panel travels back to prehistoric times, with real shark teeth and earthy colors — like an archaeological treasure that has just been uncovered.

Your Story, Not Only Mine

These pieces are contemporary abstract works that carry my own story. But I also want to leave room for yours.

When you look at a panel, I hope it reminds you of something in your own life. Looking at the bees, you might think about building, about patience, or about gathering your reserves for the seasons ahead. I don't want to hold the monopoly on the meaning of my art. I want each person to find their own.

One of a Kind, Made by Hand

Because every stone, crystal, shell and texture is unique, no two panels are ever the same. Each piece is handmade and truly one of a kind.
